Abstract
Smart polymers have emerged as a transformative component in the field of drug delivery, particularly for oral medications. These materials offer responsive properties to environmental stimuli, enabling controlled and targeted drug release profiles. This manuscript reviews the development and application of smart polymers, outlines current methodologies, presents a statistical analysis of formulation parameters, and discusses both the achieved results and future potential in clinical and pharmaceutical applications. The study emphasizes advancements made until 2021, offering insights into statistical trends, innovative methodologies, and potential improvements for next-generation drug delivery systems.
