Abstract
The pharmaceutical cold chain is essential to ensure that temperature-sensitive products, such as vaccines, biologics, and certain medications, maintain their quality and efficacy from production to delivery. With increasing regulatory demands and rising market complexity, the integration of Internet of Things (IoT) technologies into cold chain logistics offers a promising solution. This manuscript examines the adoption of IoT in real-time pharmaceutical cold chain monitoring, outlining its benefits, challenges, and future potential. Emphasis is placed on how IoT devices and sensor networks can provide continuous monitoring, prompt alerts, and advanced data analytics to improve quality assurance and reduce wastage. The study reviews literature up to 2020, presents a comprehensive methodology for implementation, and discusses experimental results and case studies to demonstrate how IoT-driven insights can transform pharmaceutical cold chain operations. Ultimately, the findings underscore the transformative potential of IoT, while also addressing issues related to data security, system integration, and regulatory compliance.
