Abstract
This manuscript investigates the transformative effect of e-pharmacy platforms on traditional brick-and-mortar pharmacies. With advancements in digital technology and evolving consumer preferences, e-pharmacies have emerged as significant players in the pharmaceutical distribution landscape. This study explores the factors influencing the shift towards online pharmaceutical services, compares the business models of traditional and online pharmacies, and assesses the challenges and opportunities presented by this digital evolution. The research incorporates a literature review of studies up to 2018, presents a statistical analysis of survey data from pharmacy users, and outlines the methodology and results from a mixed-method approach. The findings suggest that while e-pharmacies offer enhanced accessibility and competitive pricing, they also raise concerns regarding regulatory oversight, data security, and the potential erosion of personalized care provided by local pharmacies. The study concludes with recommendations for integrating digital innovations into traditional practice to ensure sustainable growth in the pharmaceutical sector.
