Abstract
The transition to electronic Case Report Form (eCRF) systems in community pharmacies signifies a pivotal step toward digitized clinical documentation and enhanced research integration. However, this technological upgrade demands significant organizational change, encompassing staff retraining, workflow redesign, stakeholder engagement, and data governance adjustments. Organizational Change Management (OCM) plays a critical role in ensuring the successful deployment and adoption of eCRF systems by addressing resistance to change, improving communication, and aligning technological transformation with organizational culture. This manuscript explores the implementation of eCRF systems in community pharmacies with a focus on OCM frameworks, tools, and outcomes. It includes a comprehensive review of relevant literature, analyzes change strategies, and provides a structured methodology to evaluate the effectiveness of OCM interventions. The results suggest that pharmacies that adopted structured change management strategies experienced higher eCRF usability, staff satisfaction, and compliance rates. This paper highlights the importance of leadership, training, stakeholder involvement, and communication planning in the context of eCRF implementation, emphasizing that technological change must be coupled with people-centered strategies to achieve sustainable transformation.
